December's Point of the Month:
Hearst Castle, California

This is one of the 137 foot tall towers on the main house built by William Randolph Hearst. Construction began in 1922 and continued until 1947, with the main house reaching 130 rooms. Several guest houses and other buildings complete the site on a California mountain top 1600 feet above San Simeon Bay. You can find its coordinates on page 143 of the California GPS Companion.
