Florida GPS Companion

When the Florida GPS Companion (at 181 pages) was released in 1997 it was nearly twice the size of anything we had done before. It lists coordinates for over 3,800 points in the state of Florida. And, even though Florida is relatively flat, 3,443 of the locations include ELEVATION. Over one hundred hill summits are listed even though the highest is less than 350 feet above sea level.

The Florida Companion is comprehensive. It lists more cities and small towns than are found on most maps, over 3100 in all. The Florida book started our tradition of focusing on the special features that make each region stand out. It includes listings for Disney World, Cape Canaveral, and the Daytona International Speedway along with 47 major public beaches. We also included major coastal points of reference.

Location Summary

Buildings and locales include points such as the Sanibel Island Light, the Governors mansion, the NASA Space Museum, and the Ringling Brothers Art Museum.
